Our Commitment to Access, Inclusion, and Equality
At SV Laser & Skin, we believe that everyone deserves to feel comfortable, respected, and supported — both online and in person. We are committed to creating a fully inclusive environment for our clients, team members, and community, removing barriers wherever possible and ensuring equal access to our services.
Online Accessibility
We strive to make our online content easy to access and understand for all users.
Here’s how we support digital inclusion:
• Alt text and captions: We use descriptive alt text and captions across our online platforms to improve accessibility for screen readers and assistive technologies.
• Multiple formats: Wherever possible, our content is available in a range of formats — including plain text, video, audio, and captioned media — to suit different learning styles and accessibility needs.
• Flexible participation: We provide alternative ways to engage such as WhatsApp voice notes or handwritten submissions.
• Accessible assessments: Assessment or consultation processes can be completed through alternative communication methods upon request.
In-Clinic Accessibility
We aim to make every visit to our clinic as comfortable and inclusive as possible.
• Venue information: We share accessibility details for the location we work in.
• Individual needs: During onboarding, clients and team members are invited to share any additional needs, and (optionally) their pronouns, so we can provide a more inclusive experience.
• Comfort requests: You can request any adjustments that would make your visit more comfortable — simply let us know in advance or on arrival.
Facilities
• Toilets: Our building includes non gendered toilet in an accessible room, containing sanitary bins and personal care items such as menstrual and incontinence products.
• Parents & nursing: Nursing mothers and parents are welcome to feed during treatments or use our wellbeing room before or after.
• Pregnancy support: We are pregnancy-aware and will work with you to ensure your treatment plan is safe and comfortable.
• Children: Babies and children are welcome if safely supervised.
• Dogs: Dogs are permitted and may accompany you to your appointment.
Treatment Room Adjustments
• Temperature: All treatment rooms are temperature controlled, and we can adjust the temperature as needed. Heated couches, hot/cold packs, and blankets are available.
• Sound: Background music can be lowered or turned off. You are welcome to bring your own headphones, hearing loops, or preferred music.
• Silent service: A silent appointment option is available upon request, where only essential communication takes place.
• Sensory aids: Fidget toys are available, and you’re welcome to bring your own.
• Equipment capacity: Our beauty couches have a weight capacity of 150kg (23 stone) and 226kg (35 stone) respectively. We acknowledge this limitation and are committed to improving accessibility in future equipment upgrades.

Our Ongoing Commitment
• We routinely collect accessibility and diversity feedback during client onboarding to help us identify and remove barriers.
• We review our inclusion practices annually to ensure we are reaching and representing a diverse community.
• All SV Laser & Skin team members receive regular Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) training, including trans awareness and disability confidence training.
• Accessibility and inclusion information is always available on our website and by request.
